Bear Day in the Armory
July 1, 2018 - Armory
11am to 2pm
This event is held on July 1st, when most of our tourists and visitors arrive. Our goal is to educate and raise awareness about our black bear population which will directly reduce the number of human/bear conflicts in our area.
The event is free to everyone with plenty of activities for children of all ages to participate in. Join us this year in the Armory at the corner of 2nd and Bluff.

The quilt donated by Mary Ann Flynn raised $200 on it's own and by the time Bear Day In The Park was over we raised a fantastic $684 for Lake City Friends of the Bears. Thank you to Russ Brown, Gudrun Durmon, Joe Fox @ Slumgullion Gift Gallery, for donating items in the silent auction. A special thank you to all those who dropped money into the donation jars! All proceeds go to our education outreach programs, and we cannot thank this community enough for their support of efforts.
